The information about the duration of ticks being on the body for longer than 36 to 48 hours before an infection can occur is wrong.
My second case of Lyme disease in Hope B.C. was a student tree planter at Silver lake. He went to work at 08:00 am and he had an abdominal irritation at coffee break at 10:00 am and a tick on this patients abdomen less in than 2 hours was removed by the first aid man. In exactly 48 hours he came to the office with a target rash the size of a dime and the diagnosis of Lyme disease was made. So the theory that a tick must be on the body for longer than 36 to 48 hours is an absolute falsehood perpetuated by the specialists erroneously. His blood test serologically came back positive for both the Elisa and Western blot methods, This case will be presented at the next Lyme disease lecture .In the forest business many loggers and foresters get tick bites and remove them by pulling them off with the fingers shortly after the bite at work and many get lyme disease.
